Allu Arjun’s much-awaited sequel Pushpa 2: The Rule has created history at the Indian box office! It has become the biggest opener ever in Indian cinema, beating the record set by SS Rajamouli’s RRR. On its first day, the action-packed movie earned a massive ₹175.1 crore, according to Sacnilk. This is a huge jump from RRR‘s ₹133 crore opening day collection.

The film’s earnings were led by the Telugu version, which made ₹95.1 crore, while the Hindi version added ₹67 crore. The Tamil version earned ₹7 crore, Malayalam brought in ₹5 crore, and Kannada contributed ₹1 crore. The Telugu shows had an incredible 82.66% occupancy, with night shows peaking at 90.19%. The Hindi version also performed strongly, becoming the second-biggest contributor.

With such a grand opening, Pushpa 2 is now one of the highest-grossing Indian openers of all time. Early estimates suggest it might cross ₹250 crore by the end of the weekend.

The film continues the thrilling story of red sandalwood smuggling, with Allu Arjun returning as Pushpa Raj. Rashmika Mandanna plays Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil is back as Bhanwar Singh Shekawat. The movie also features talented actors like Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, and Anasuya Bharadwaj.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up right where the first movie, Pushpa: The Rise (2021), left off, delivering an exciting continuation of the gripping story.
